Here We Go Again

I've always made the posts about coming back here and doing so many cool things. Like saying "New Year, New Layout" and trying to come back everyday to post something new. But seriously...I never do. And I'm sorry for that. I've been spending a lot of time at Teen Entertainment, the other blog that I write for. It's really grown in the past few months and I've had a lot of fun being with them. But DC Dude's Spot is special to me. I started it almost a year ago because I wanted a place to vent about Disney Channel and stuff. It's been great and I've had so much fun telling you readers (if there are any of you guys left) about what I think about Disney. I know I post one thing and hardly come back, but this time I'm not going to lie. I'll post often, but I will probably be spending most of my time and blogging power at Teen Entertainment. We've got big things planned in the future and I hope that you can follow us and we the great staff and I plan to do.
As a treat for you guys that are still with me, I'll be posting a fun music mix on here tomorrow. I think I'll only have it up for a week as a special treat. It's some of my favorite music and artists. It's a part of the "Teen Entertainment Mania" series over at TE. So far we have six planned with number seven hopefully being announced soon. Here is the cover:

I'll post the tracklisting later! Hope you like it!

New Layout, New Year

Today is the last day of the year 2009! Can you believe it? I sure can't. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is preparing for an awesome New Year!
I made a new banner for the upcoming season of American Idol. I put some of my favorites in there and their music is in the playlist. Hope you enjoy it!
I don't know how long I'll be keeping this banner though, I'll probably make some different ones when the season gets started with different cover art from all the different Idols.

New Banner

Sorry...I know...it's been a while! But Christmas is soon here and I have a lot to catch up on. Today we'll start with a new banner and some music reviews.
I found this picture from the banner on Disney Dude Entertainment last year so props to them!
Well, tons of music has come out. Emily Osment's single came out. She does an awesome re-invention of the song "Run, Rudolph, Run". Mitchel Musso also re-invented "Jingle Bell Rock". It's the classic lyrics but adds his signature on the end of it.
One of my favorite Christmas CD's is SHeDaisy's "Brand New Year". Do you remember them? They had a ton of drama going on a few years ago and then they made a movie. Well, this is such an amazing Christmas album. They do a few originals and then put their spin on some classics to make it their own. My favorite is a mash-up of Hark the Angels and Carol of the Bells. They fuse the two songs beautifully and effortlessly.

David Archuleta's Christmas CD came out in October but I got it late last month. It's pure Christmas spirit. He does a duet on the song "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and I really like it as a duet. It's not a Christmas song that you imagine a duet working.

Bianca Ryan also released a Christmas EP this year. She won the first season of America's Got Talent when she was eleven. Now she's fifteen and even more of an amazing singer. She's really grown into a better artist and all her songs are great. It consists of five songs with two of them being originals. She also sings the song "When Christmas Comes to Town" from Polar Express. It's one of my favorite Christmas songs and it's really good sung by just one person.

I'll review more songs tomorrow and maybe some Christmas shows and specials! See you then!

New Layout

Hey, I'm back! I put up a whole new layout and banner. I made this Christmasy Canp Rock 2 poster. I really like it and I hope you do too. I'll be back in the swing of things soon and be reviewing your favorite songs, movies and shows just in time for the Holidays! Merry Christmas!

Free Katharine McPhee Song!

This week on iTunes, Katharine McPhee's new Christmas single "I'll Be Home For Christmas" is available for free through iTunes Discovery Download! She gives an awesome spin on the classic. She is an amazing singer and her voice meshes with the song perfect. I really liked the art for it too, but I found this one on Coverlandia and liked it even better because it matches her other single art. Thanks Coverlandia!
Katharine's other Christmas single "O Come All Ye Faithful" is available on iTunes as well for the low price of 99 cents. It's worth the money! Trust me!
