Summer Wrap-Up

mmmmm....this summer was amazing! A lot of cool things happened. This post is dedicated to summer and all the cool things that happened during it. I made a new layout to commemorate this sad event.
So, there were so many CDs that came out this summer. I think the beginning of the summer music was at the end of April when David Archuleta released his Fan Pack of "Zero Gravity" and "A Thousand Miles". Those songs were amazing! Then Mitchel Musso released his CD, which was followed by the Jonas Brothers. Both were so good and contemporary and brought such a great sound to the summer. Then we had Demi Lovato and Jordin Sparks. There was "One and the Same" and the WOWP Soundtrack. Radio Disney showed us Justin Beiber, who became an instant supermega star overnight. Disney Stars came together for "Send it On". Ashley Tisdale and Daughtry rocked it with amazing sophomore albums. American Idol's Brooke White released her CD of smooth jazzy tunes. Miley released an amazing song and an exclusive CD at Wal-Mart. Aly & AJ became 78violet. Emily Osment announced her CD release date. American Idol Season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee showed a new side of herself by going blond and releasing an amazing song called "Had It All". At last but not least, Selena Gomez & The Scene released "Falling Down". Did I miss any?
Summer Movies were huge! It began with "Wolverine", the only superhero movie this summer! Then "Transformers 2" and "Harry Potter". "The Proposal" was also a huge hit! "G.I. Joe" ended the summer with an explosion and "Bandslam" ended in rockin'! I didn't go see all the summer movies, but from friends and family, this was a summer movie season to remember.
Disney Channel was kickin' it up with "Disney Channel Summer of Stars" and releasing two DCOM's and new episode's of everything. There was also one of my favorites "Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana". Demi and Selena came together for "Princess Protection Program" and then last night we got "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie". They also teamed up with Disney Cruise lines and brought us "Disney Channel Summer at Sea".
Disney Channel also announced two new movies. "High School Musical East Meets West" and "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam".
Lastly, the summer tours. Demi and David started it off and did an awesome job! Jo Bros, Jordin Sparks, and Honor Society came in the middle and are still on. Mitchel Musso did a small tour in the beginning of the summer and is now starting back up. Then Miley is ending it all with her tour with Metro Station.
WOW!!! This was a jam packed summer! Tons of things happened and more is yet to come in the fall. Last night their was a preview for "Lost at Sea", and hour long Suite Life event. And Suite Life always keeps the summer alive! Camp Rock 2 and HSM4 will both be filming. I'm hoping that Camp Rock 2 is coming out during Spring Break, even though it's a summer movie. I'm hoping the same sort of thing for HSM4.
And their you have it. Summertime was our time, and it was awesome!

Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie: The Review

I can't believe the movie is already out and done with! It seriously seems like yesterday when I was reading on Easily Entertained and they did a post about it. I'll do the DC Dude signature review (meaning not really talking about what happened in the movie =] ).
So, I loved Harper in the movie! I was sad that she wasn't in more of it but the parts she was in were so funny. I loved her lines of "Well........bye!" and then run off. That was signature Harper!
Second, the special effects were so good for a Disney Channel movie! I wasn't expecting them to be that good. My favorite two were when Alex threw the rock onto the bridge and when the lady turned back into the parrot. That was way cool!
Everyone is such great actors and actresses in this thing! I seriously think that acting in a sound stage and then going out and acting in the open changes how someone does a movie or a show. It happened in Hannah Montana and then in this movie as well. But they still have their characters. So they change but in a really good way.
I can't wait to watch the movie again tonight with Special Effect Saturday and then on Sunday when they show clips from the new season! It's going to be awesome!
Alrighty, thanks for reading my review! I've got to go and do the uStream chat with Selena!

Sorry...

Hey! I know it's been a while since I last posted but I started college on Monday so I've been busy with orientations and books and everything in between. So, I get off early on Tuesdays and Thursdays and am off on Fridays and of course weekends so that's when my posts will be coming up.
So, a few things have happened since last week. I bought "Falling Down" on iTunes (because when you download it it's like stealing from the artist who sang it) and it is sooooo good! I was worried that Selena wouldn't be strong enough to do an album on her own, but this song proved me wrong! I think that Hollywood Records felt the same way and created The Scene for her. And it has a great sound to it. . . . . .Selena Gomez & The Scene....oooooo.
I can't believe the WOWP Movie is coming out tomorrow! It felt like it was yesterday when it was announced and people were going crazy about it! But now it's almost here! I can't wait. If you've got TIVO, make sure to record it on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so you can watch all the special stuff during the movie.
Also, after the WOWP Movie, the music video for "Falling Down" is going to premiere on Disney Channel and the making of "Send it On", "Lights, Camera, Take Action!" as well. Both should be really good. I've never seen all the big Disney Stars interact before and just be themselves, so I'm really looking forward to that.
One last thing, Selena posted on her Facebook that she is doing another live chat but this one is for anyone that wants to join in. The website is http://www.ustream.tv/channel/selenagomez . Just go on at 12 noon Pacific Time and you'll get to chat with Selena. The last one was really good so this one should just as good or even better.

Wizards and Suite Life Review

This Friday was a busy Disney Friday. Selena Gomez's single premiered on Radio Disney, which I sadly missed, and new episodes of "Wizards of Waverly Place" and "Suite Life on Deck". They were both really good episodes.
The new Wizards episode was called "Retest" and centered around the Russows loosing their powers. They siblings met their aunt Megan and we got to see more great Kelbo humor. I have to admit that I didn't really like the first episode with Kelbo. He just seemed snooty and jerky. But I loved him in this one. He poofed in with his random outfits from different times and then poofed away and said something random. LOVED IT! I think this episode was used to show how close the siblings are as they work together in preparation for the movie next week. BTW, I can't believe the movie is only next week! And during the new Wizards, they showed a new trailer for the movie. I'm going to need a new paragraph for this one.
So the new trailer was really good...except for the part when they said that only one Russow is going to end up with powers in the end! WHAT?!?!?!?!?! How can they spring that on us at the last minute. It turns out that the part in the trailers when you see Justin and Alex in those outfits that make them look like a Power Ranger or something, yeah, that's the Wizard Competition!!!! But, how can two of them loose their powers and there's going to be a third season? That would be an uneventful season.
Now Suite Life. This was a really good one. I really like how Bailey's character is growing and she just becomes more and more a part in the family cast. And the return of Miss Tutwiler! She is another favorite. Her relationship with Mr. Moseby is so funny. My favorite part in both the original Suite Life and On Deck is when Mr. Moseby and one of the twins just click. In the new episode it was when Zack and Moseby talked about catching kids in the act of something. I watched the HSM episode of Suite Life today too and there was another moment just like. Yeah...I basically love that show!

Great Selena News!

Selena Gomez is premiering her new single "Falling Down" on Radio Disney this Friday and is doing another awesome thing the same day! At 5:30 the same Friday, people can call her and actually speak with her! How awesome is that? Just call 214-306-9590 and you should be able to speak to Selena! I'm going to be out with some friends then but this should make for a fun thing to do while we're out! I'll record it on my phone and try and put it on here for everybody. See you Friday!

guest.

There's this band that I've been dying to shout out to the world and tell everyone about. Then it dawned on me, this is the perfect place!
When the pop/rock group Jump5 broke up, I was devastated! They made really great music and the songs grew up as they did too. They lost one member halfway through there career but still went on to have great success. There songs were featured in movies such as "Sleepover", "Ella Enchanted", "Brother Bear", and "Ice Princess". They also sang Disneyland's theme song for their 50th aniversary. They even got the privilege to sing at the White House. But shortly after they broke up, the brother and sister in they group formed their own band called "guest."

Brandon and Brittany Hargest have been singing in guest. since 2007. They've released three singles in an EP. They are "Cover My Eyes", "Perfect", and "Last Straw". They have a very contemporary sound to them while still doing a very good job at sounding unique. They songs include sounds from the guitar and drums to the cello and violin. I think that they are one of those bands that deserves way more of a spotlight. Radio Disney should really bring these guys in just as they did with Jump5 but still give them the room that they need to do there own thing (kind of like David Cook and Honor Society). I really hope that everyone goes onto their website and listens to them. If you are on Facebook, then look them up and become a fan. They will not let you down!

Kiss and Tell Tracklisting is Official!!!!

The official track listing has been announced for Selena Gomez's debut album! It was announced on Facebook a little less then an hour ago. Here it is:

1. Kiss And Tell

2. I Won’t Apologize

3. Falling Down

4. I Promise You

5. Naturally

6. Crush

7. The Way I Loved You

8. ... More

9. As A Blonde

10. I Don’t Miss You At All

11. Stop And Erase

12. I Got U

13. Tell Me Something I Don’t Know

Avalance of New Stuff

Sorry for the lack of posts, I just haven't done any even though there are a lot of things going on. First, I'll do a quick review of the episode of "Suite Life on Deck".
The one on last Friday was good. I liked how the brought back Woody and he seemed a little different to me. I didn't really like him in the first season but I'm hoping he'll be better in the second. The fight that Woody and Zack had was hilarious! And I loved London's solution for getting rid of Armando's assistant. It was unexpected but it did the job.

Second, Selena Gomez has been very busy! Her new single comes out next week and it premieres on Radio Disney this Friday with the music video premiering after the WOWP movie (I think...). It's called "Falling Down" and it is the first single off her new CD called "Kiss & Tell". As seen in the single artwork, her band is called The Scene. Several blogs and other websites have said this which I think is kind of inspired by one of her favorite bands. In a live webcast, Selena told everyone that one of her favorite bands is Paramore. I think with this influence and the more mature title of her CD, we can expect some really cool things from Selena! Her CD comes out on September 29th! And if you haven't already, become a fan on Selena on Facebook and you can get constant updates from Selena!
Third, the music video for "Send it On" premiered on Disney Channel on Friday right before the new episode of Suite Life. really liked it! I thought it was funny when everyone was running out from the studio and to they couch that Demi hand to run really slow in her high heels and dress. Every time they showed that I had a little laugh. But it was really good and I'll probably watch it again today!
Thanks again everyone for visiting my blog and posting everything! Big thanks go out to Teen Entertainment!

Friends for Change News

I was reading another press release today and found some really cool stuff about Disney's Friends for Change. It talked about "Send it On", the music video, and tons more stuff. Let me give you a summary.
First, they shared a little bit more about "Send it On". It's going to be on iTunes on the 11th and all the proceeds will go to charity. The music video will premiere on the 14th (probably during the new episode of Suite Life) and Disney Channel is doing a behind the scenes show on the music video as well. The show is called "Lights, Camera, Take Action! Backstage with Disney's Friends for Change". It's going to premiere right after the WOWP movie, so don't forget to set that to your Tivo or make another batch of popcorn and watch that.
Another thing they shared was what they money was going to be spent on. The Disney Stars say that one million dollars will be spent on the earth, but that money is being broken apart for several things. Cool huh? So all that money is being spread around the world to make it an even better place.
Another cool thing was that they said that over 350,000 people have pledged. That's a lot, but it can be better! If you haven't already, please go on and redge and pledge at www.disney.com/friendsforchange and sign up to make a difference!

"Suite Life on Deck" News

I roaming the net to find some Disney Channel news, I remembered that I need to check the officials for the real stuff. And it really paid off! Disney Channel made a press release regarding the new season with some new cast info and episode stuff. Here's what they say:

Later in the season, Jordin Sparks makes her debut on the S.S. Tipton to perform a song written by Zack, Cody and Marcus, and Esteban returns to get married on the S.S. Tipton and brings along his disapproving mother, played by Charo. NFL quarterback Kurt Warner comes aboard the S.S. Tipton, where he is tackled by Cody during a friendly football game. Ed Begley, Jr. makes an appearance as an angry Swedish mayor, and London Tipton has a crush on magician Justin Kredible, who drops in on the S.S. Tipton to showcase his new tricks.

I can't wait to see it all!

WOWP Vampire Saga #3 and Suite Life on Deck

I was going to do two separate posts for the review of these episodes, but it made more sense to do it this way.

So the 3rd part in the Wizards vs. Vampire Saga was pretty good. I liked how they took some attention off of Justin for an episode and focused on Alex. I've never seen Alex and Harper's relationship be so serious in this episode (yet another preparation for the next season). There were some definite parts where the feeling was not happy, like it usually is. And of course, I loved the Hot Dog girl! I love how they use the same actress for so many roles! Can't wait for "Wizards vs. Vampires vs. Zombies" tomorrow!I loved the Suite Life episode tonight too! It was the first one of the new season, minus the new character. So it was the first episode, but it seemed like it wasn't. I really like the new intro. They changed the scenes and the character's spots. I like it a lot more than the other one. It made me realize how for they already are on the new season.

When they first had the new camera style I didn't really like it. I thought they made it too obvious that they were on a set. But I really liked it in this one. It seemed like a fitting change for a new season. I like how Bailey has grown more confident in this season. Zack and Cody are still. . . . . . Zack and Cody. And London seemed more grounded than before. I'm really looking forward to the new season and the new episodes!

Send It On

Finally! "Send It On" came out! And it was so good! I listened to it on Radio Disney today and I can't wait to get it on iTunes!
"Send It On" really told how easy it is to make the earth a better place. One person can make a difference as long as we do our parts. This is one of those songs that you just want to sing at the top of your lungs for all to hear! I've redged and pledged....have you?
Don't forget to get "Send It On" on iTunes August 11th! Let's make it #1!

50th Post!

Hey everybody! This post is celebrating the 50th post on my blog! Woohoo! Thanks for coming on and checking out my blog. I love the support and comments that everyone has left. I can't to make the 100th post!
I made the new layout celebrating the 50th post and the WOWP Movie. Hope you enjoy it!

New Emily Osment Song "All the Way Up"

Emily Osment just released a new song! You can listen here. It's definitely a pop/rock song, and it has a really cool feel to it. It's one of those songs where you would turn it on and sing and dance around to it. It sure is early to release a single off her CD (due out in March), but it's the same thing that was done with Mitchel Musso and "The In Crowd". I can't wait to here more from Emily in the future!

WOWP Soundtrack Review

I listened to the Planet Premiere of the Wizards soundtrack on Saturday and I was very impressed. A lot of the songs are re-makes of 80's songs, which is pretty cool. My family listens to a lot of 80's music and it was nice to hear some of the favorites by some other people.
I think it's kind of random to have a soundtrack for a show about wizards, but the whole album is amazingly thought out. All of Selena's tracks are sung well and written amazingly. They got me even more excited for her own CD coming out in the fall. All the other songs are just sooooooo good! It's really hard to pick a favorite....but if I had to, it would either have to be "Magic" by Selena or "Magic" by Honor Society. Two completely different songs by different people. But, there are three songs with the same title and ten of the songs have the word MAGIC in the title. haha......funny but good. I can't wait for the next one (cross your fingers that there will!)

Review of a Review

I was roaming the "Arts & Entertainment" section of my local paper on Sunday and I saw that they had done a review of Demi's new CD. I was like, "Oh great!" These were the same people that thought that Miley's last CD should be used as a coaster and that the Jo Bros were singing about being off their drugs in "Paranoid". About everything that they say about my favorites, I just say, "PUH-LEEZ" and turn the page. But their review of Demi was spot on. They told about the John Mayer-ish feel to the album, and that all songs show Demi's range. But they basically repeated what they said every other sentence so, yeah. At least they didn't say that she wanted to blow everything up in her song "Dynamite". haha..... =)

"Send it On"........FINALLY!!!!

Finally, "Send it On" is coming out! I can't wait to here this song! From the commercials, it sounds really good. I hope that when it goes on iTunes, the money raised from it will go to charity. Kind of like an "Idol Gives Back" sort of thing. And after the song comes the music video, which was filmed 2 MONTHS AGO! Listen to your local Radio Disney this Friday to listen to "Send it On"!

HSM: On Stage! Review

So last night I went with some friends to go see "High School Musical: On Stage!" and it was sooooo much fun! The cast was amazing! I loved all that they did that made it their own.
The way that Disney crafted the on stage version of HSM was very smart and just incredible. They changed Twinkle Town, the spring musical, to Juliet & Romeo and "Start of Something New" was done as a flashback instead of opening for the play. They had a couple of new character that were added as well. They had someone do the morning announcements instead of having the subtitles like in the movie. Their was even a couple of different versions of the songs too! While they had the auditions for the musical, they sang "Bop to the Top". They had the people sing that song and then they would stop and someone would audition. They had the opera girl, they guy who forgot his words, the other guy that sings really bad, and then the interpretive dancer group. Also, during the scene when the jocks and brainiacs are trying to convince Troy and Gabriella to not do the callbacks, they sang a new song called "Counting on You". It was about how each team was counting on them to win for them.

I think that the stage version shows more emotion than the film. "Get'cha Head in the Game" had a totally different feel to it. "Start of Something New" was sung by everyone and it was cool to see that everyone was feeling different and ready show their real selves.
They play was just inspiring! It really makes you want to go out and see all the movies, be in a play, and just have fun! I would recommend it to any Disney and HSM fans! I would do it again in a heartbeat!
