New Layout, New Year

Today is the last day of the year 2009! Can you believe it? I sure can't. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is preparing for an awesome New Year!
I made a new banner for the upcoming season of American Idol. I put some of my favorites in there and their music is in the playlist. Hope you enjoy it!
I don't know how long I'll be keeping this banner though, I'll probably make some different ones when the season gets started with different cover art from all the different Idols.

New Banner

Sorry...I know...it's been a while! But Christmas is soon here and I have a lot to catch up on. Today we'll start with a new banner and some music reviews.
I found this picture from the banner on Disney Dude Entertainment last year so props to them!
Well, tons of music has come out. Emily Osment's single came out. She does an awesome re-invention of the song "Run, Rudolph, Run". Mitchel Musso also re-invented "Jingle Bell Rock". It's the classic lyrics but adds his signature on the end of it.
One of my favorite Christmas CD's is SHeDaisy's "Brand New Year". Do you remember them? They had a ton of drama going on a few years ago and then they made a movie. Well, this is such an amazing Christmas album. They do a few originals and then put their spin on some classics to make it their own. My favorite is a mash-up of Hark the Angels and Carol of the Bells. They fuse the two songs beautifully and effortlessly.

David Archuleta's Christmas CD came out in October but I got it late last month. It's pure Christmas spirit. He does a duet on the song "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and I really like it as a duet. It's not a Christmas song that you imagine a duet working.

Bianca Ryan also released a Christmas EP this year. She won the first season of America's Got Talent when she was eleven. Now she's fifteen and even more of an amazing singer. She's really grown into a better artist and all her songs are great. It consists of five songs with two of them being originals. She also sings the song "When Christmas Comes to Town" from Polar Express. It's one of my favorite Christmas songs and it's really good sung by just one person.

I'll review more songs tomorrow and maybe some Christmas shows and specials! See you then!

New Layout

Hey, I'm back! I put up a whole new layout and banner. I made this Christmasy Canp Rock 2 poster. I really like it and I hope you do too. I'll be back in the swing of things soon and be reviewing your favorite songs, movies and shows just in time for the Holidays! Merry Christmas!

Free Katharine McPhee Song!

This week on iTunes, Katharine McPhee's new Christmas single "I'll Be Home For Christmas" is available for free through iTunes Discovery Download! She gives an awesome spin on the classic. She is an amazing singer and her voice meshes with the song perfect. I really liked the art for it too, but I found this one on Coverlandia and liked it even better because it matches her other single art. Thanks Coverlandia!
Katharine's other Christmas single "O Come All Ye Faithful" is available on iTunes as well for the low price of 99 cents. It's worth the money! Trust me!

Glee "Last Christmas"

Last week, the cast of Glee released their Christmas single of "Last Christmas". I really like this song. The Ashley Tisdale version is really good, but I have to say that this one is better. It's really cool to hear this song sung by a girl and a guy. It's almost a duet, but not. And then they give it the Glee Cast spin to make it like a show tune. Seriously, a major Christmas favorite. And the best part is, the proceeds from the song all go to charity! A great song for a great cause! Why not? So go to iTunes and get your copy!

David Archuleta "Christmas from the Heart" Review

I got David A's Christmas CD the other day and it is amazing! It is pure Christmas spirit! His voice is pure and just so good. My favorite songs are "Pat-a-Pan" and "Melodies of Christmas". "Pat-a-Pan" isn't an original but you hardly ever hear it. It has a really cool beat to it and some instrumental work that really add to it. "Melodies of Christmas" is the only original on the album. It's really cool how they added some classic Christmas song lyrics in the song.
My only problem with the CD is that I wish they had done some faster songs. Something full of spirit in the pop David style. But it's really good. Go get your copy wherever CDs are sold! But good luck finding it! I got the last one at a Barnes & Noble.
P.S. I don't like the original art for the album so I found this one and put it to my iPod. Thanks Snarky Archies!

Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure Review

Thanksgiving Sunday, the new Tinkerbell movie was on Disney Channel. I really liked the first one when it premiered during the Summer and really looked forward to seeing the second one. It was SOOOOO good! It was way better than the first and it was a lot funnier.

The storyline was really cool. There wasn't really a villain like in the first one, and it was just a giant quest. It was about self discovery. I really liked how Jesse McCartney's character, Terence, had a bigger part. I missed seeing the other fairies though. I loved when Terence was talking to Silvermist and he said Tink exploded and she said "SHE EXPLODED!" Seriously, the best part!
I can't wait for the next Tinkerbell movie "The Great Fairy Race", probably due out next summer.

Skyrunners Review

Disney XD's first ever original movie premiered on the day after Thanksgiving. I Tivoed it, after seeing the previews for it on Disney Channel it looked pretty good. I was really excited to see it, but I was sadly disappointed.
The movie was soooooo predictable. I sat there watching it, saying the scenes out loud to what was going to happen next. Every single time I was right! I don't want to ruin it, but it was seriously mega predictable.
It was a good start for Disney XD. They don't have any other ideas to build on so they will of course make a sequel. Let's hope it's better than the first.
Overall, it was a good solid start to Disney XD's many original movies. I look forward to better ones in the future!

Brooke White Christmas EP

I was browsing through the Holiday section in iTunes this week and found a Christmas EP from Brooke White. She's on of my favorite artists, and I immediately grabbed it. It only has three songs but it's totally worth it. I didn't like the cover that they had for it so I made my own.
The first song on the EP is "Away in the Manger". My cover says "Away in a Manger" only because I was listening to the song when I was making it and they say "away in a manger" in the song. It was really cool to hear a new version of this song. It's a true Christmas classic and you hardly ever hear it.
The second song is "Blue Christmas". She remakes the Elvis classic and makes it her own. Elvis is cool and all, but this song has a lot of repeating in it. This one doesn't repeat anything and is a really nice version of it.

The last song is my favorite cover and song! "California Christmas" is (I think) an original. I love Christmas songs where they sing about the Christmas in places where it doesn't snow. I lived in California for a long time, and this song is really cool.

Her voice is absolutely beautiful and pure on this EP. She's a unique artist that has an interesting sound. If you're not a Brooke White fan, you'll still love this EP. It's a great addition to your Christmas playlist!

Emily Osment "Run, Rudolph, Run"

Emily is releasing a Christmas single! Her EP was amazing and I can't wait to here her version of this song! It is being released on December 1st!

Thanksgiving Review

This was a really fun Thanksgiving this year. My family and I went over to a friends house and had smoked turkey, ham, garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pasta with squash...it tastes a lot better than it sounds! My mom made rolls and I think I ate about half of them =). But rolls have to be the one thing that you can fifty of. We went home and watched Up!, which has to be the best Pixar movie ever!
But, before all of that was the Macy's Parade. I watched on NBC after it was almost over so my Tivo wouldn't catch up to it. Mitchel Musso, Katharine McPhee, Boys Like Girls, and Tiffany Thornton were among many of the great people they had. Tiffany Thornton sang with Kermit the Frog to perform their new Christmas single "I Believe". It is such a good song! That song defines what Christmas is to the line! Such an amazing new Christmas song. You can buy it on iTunes on the 8th!

P.S. The template I have right now won't let me have a Chatbox, so if you have a comment, just leave one on a post. Thanks!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.....

Christmas is coming closer with everyday, and here at DC Dude's Spot, everyday is Christmas! I'll be reviewing songs, shows, and movies everyday! This really is the greatest time of year and I can't wait to celebrate it with you! Happy Holidays!

Play My Music!

I really like to make the collages of cover art so I made one a while ago with some of my favorite music. I've got plenty of Disney Channel music and stars in there, along with some of my other favorites. The soundtrack for Glee, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta, Jump5, guest., VFactory, Kelly Clarkson, Katherine McPhee, and Jason Castro. They are all amazing artists, and would recommend them to anyone!

Fall!

Hey everybody! It's been a while, but I'm back! I'll try my best to post as much as I can from now on.
The banner is some of my favorite music that has come out during the fall.
It is officially fall and Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away! The Holiday Season is well on its way as we all scramble for the best presents and the biggest turkey! I've got some big plans for Christmas so stay tuned!

Sonny with a Chance Review

The new "Sonny with a Chance" was on on Sunday, and it was the first of the new episodes airing every Sunday this month. This episode had the comedian/actor Jeff Dunham. He had a funny part, but not a major role.
It was cool in this episode how we got to see some more of Sonny's mom. When Sonny and her mom started to Work Things Out, I was busting up laughing! Then, to compare Sonny and her mom to Tanwy and her mom was pretty cool too. One mom bought her daughter a mop and another bought her daughter a shirt that didn't fit her. Haha...that was a good one.
Stay tune this Sunday for a new episode!

New Layout, New Start

I made a new layout for the blog the other day. I really liked the design so I went with it. It'd different and it kind of reminds me of spring, but I find it to be really relaxing and fresh. Hope you like it!
P.S. I'll put the chat box back up after things settle down with my other blogging stuff.

100th Post!......Finally

Happy 100th post! I know I'm already 1/5 of the way to 200, but here it is! I made this logo from some of the banners that I've had for the blog. Happy 100th post and see you at 200!

New Disney Channel Show "Fish Hooks"

A new Disney Channel show just got announced! It's called "Fish Hooks". Here's the official word from Disney Channel:
The 21-episode series follows Milo, Oscar and Bea, three friends and neighbors who attend Freshwater High, a school submerged in a giant fish tank in the center of a local pet store. Together they experience the typical challenges and triumphs of tween life, like friendship, dating and sports, along with more atypical teen issues like giant lobster attacks and school field trips to the hamster cages.
The show has an all-star cast too!
"Fish Hooks" features a talented voice cast including Kyle Massey ("Cory in the House") as Milo, an adventurous party guy; Chelsea Staub ("JONAS") as Bea, an overly dramatic goldfish; and Justin Roiland ("The Sarah Silverman Program") as Oscar, Milo's neurotic brother.
It's scheduled to release fall of 2010. Can't wait!

It's the Great Pumpkin!

Who doesn't like Charlie Brown? Seriously?
"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" was on ABC this Wednesday and of course, I had to watch it. You have to watch the Charlie Brown specials every year. It's a tradition. First is the great pumpkin, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas.
I must not have watched "The Great Pumpkin" for the past couple of years (I know, shame on me) because I didn't remember what the Great Pumpkin was. Turns out, it's a huge pumpkin that flies through the night and gives toys to all the good boys and girls of the world...wait a second...that sounds vaguely familiar =)
You can never go wrong with Charlie Brown. I'm glad I didn't get rocks for Trick-or-Treating. And you've got to love Snoopy. Snoopy is probably the best part of Charlie Brown.

What's What Wizards

I finished watching the What's What Edition of the Wizards movie a few days ago and I think that this was my favorite What's What that Disney Channel has ever done. The only other ones that I've seen were the HSM ones and Camp Rock, but to see one that wasn't about music was pretty cool. This was the first one that I can remember where they had a picture-in-picture pop-ups. They would have a pop-up and show the same shot in a different angle. The ones about the special-effects were pretty interesting too.
Tune in tonight to watch a brand new Wizards!
And look forward to beginning of December for the Wizards movie on DVD!

Nick Jonas and the Admistration

It's true! Nick Jonas is going to do a solo album!
I was listening to Radio Disney yesterday and during the Celebrity Take with Jake, Jake confirmed that Nick will have a solo album out next year called "Nick Jonas and the Administration". They said on Radio Disney that this isn't the break-up of the Jonas Brothers, just a little project on the side that Nick is doing. But I don't believe this one bit.
Let's cut the crap people, the Jonas Brothers are going to disband in the near future. Whether the album they do together after Nick's or even five years down the road, they are going to go their separate ways as artists and do there own thing. Let's face it, Kevin is getting married and if they plan to have kids, a father can't go on a world tour with his little brothers. They are all growing up, and there is no stopping that. They will have the disband eventually and let go of what was once the Jonas Brothers. Plus, they already have enough money that they won't need to get a real job if they didn't want to.
But this won't be the end of the Jo Bros. You'll see them captaining there own studio, making young artists dreams come true. They'll end up singing on their own for a while. You may see one of them in Dancing with the Stars. One of them could go on a Celebrity Apprentice or something. They won't leave the limelight when they disband.

Monsters Vs Aliens Halloween Special

Last night the Monster Vs Aliens Halloween Special was on. I know it's not Disney, but it was a Halloween special and it was pretty funny. So why not?
I really liked the Monster Vs Aliens movie. It was really funny and was amazing to see in 3-D in theaters. It's probably my favorite Dreamworks movie so far.
The Halloween show on last night had the natural humor to it. I've noticed with this episode and other Dreamworks' smaller productions (Penguins of Madagascar and Shrek the Halls) that the effects aren't as good. But the only change that I saw was in B.O.B. Everything else looked as good as the movie. I also liked seeing the Monsters interact with people now that they are recognized and people are used to them.
And I have to say that Insectosaurus' costume of Elvis, was really funny. Who doesn't like a giant butterfly bug thing dressing up as Elvis?
And good news! On November 17th, Merry Madagascar is going to be on NBC! See you there!

Free Song...Why Not?

Every Tuesday, iTunes has a new artist featured and has a free single from them. In the past they've had Gary Go, Benton Paul, KSM, and Tal & Acacia. All amazing songs from great people...and for FREE!!! Seriously, if you were offered a song for free...would you take it? DUH!
This week they have a really good song for free. It's by an Australian artist, Orianthi. She's a really good singer and she plays the guitar like nobody's business! The song on iTunes is called "According to You". It has an awesome beat and catchy lyrics.
She seems like a mixture of Demi Lovato and Lesly Roy. She has the rock of Lesley Roy, but awesome vocals like Demi.
Show her your support and get your song for FREE!!!

"All the Right Wrongs" Review #2

First off, I made some Fan Art of Emily Osment's EP, "All the Right Wrongs". Secondly, I bought her EP on iTunes today and when I listened to it the first time, I was like "This is good. I'll buy it." But now that I have it and I've listened to it a couple of times, I absolutely love it! Emily has such a unique sound. It's a healthy mixture of pop, rock, and a little bit of country. When the last song stops I'm always left wanting more. I can't wait until her CD comes spring of next year!

New in November....Again!

Disney Channel sure likes to repeat themselves, and they are doing it again with this year's New in November. They have a new episode of Sonny with a Chance every Sunday, a new Jonas, two new Hannah Montana episodes, three new Suite Lifes, and two new Wizards. Should be a fun month on Disney Channel!

Official Camp Rock 2 Poster

This has been out for a while now, but it's so cool! It doesn't really show any plot but it shows some of the character's new styles. Can't wait!

Wizards Review

A new Wizards was on last night too! That one was probably my favorite on yet! It was funny, everyone had a main part, and Moises Arias was funny too.
I liked how the Movie came into play a little bit more. Now that we know what the Wizard Competition is, it's a little bit easier to see what they have to do later on. It was cool to see everyone have each of the siblings show their magical talent. Although, what Max does on the show really isn't talent, it's more of what he wants to happen, then he just rolls with whatever does.
Makeup Design did a good job in this episode. They showed that it doesn't have to be a Disney Channel Movie to have good effects.
There were some funny moments with the parents in this episode too. I liked how Jerry was convinced that the Hula Hoop thing was a keyring.
I loved the ending. It was cool to see the set and the actors being them, but then still being in character. I really liked how we could see the set too. Now we know that when they go into the fridge in the sub station, the really are going into the lair...it was probably designed that way....haha.

Suite Life on Deck Review

Yet another hilarious episode of Suite Life was on last night. I think this one was the funniest yet. My sister watched it with me and she hardly laughs as much as I do during this show. But last night we busting up during the whole thing!
I'm glad that the whole awkwardness with Marcus is done. I'm sure that we'll get to see more of his personality emerge as the season goes on.
I like the mini-London. I'm sure we'll she that actress in all the other Disney Channel shows. Kinda like the guy that was in the Hannah Montana episode where she went to Prom. The guy she went with was in Jonas and now has a minor part in Zeke and Luther.
Jordin Sparks did a good job. It's not like her part was very taxing...she just had to be herself. I like how the Disney Channel shows are beginning to get bigger names for guest stars.

"All the Right Wrongs" Review

Even though Emily Osment's EP doesn't come out until next Tuesday, you can listen to the whole thing here.
I really like the songs on her EP. From "Hero in Me" and "I Don't Think About It" you get a sense that Emily Osment's voice is a little nasily. But her new songs are really good! She sounds really good and has a unique sound. I think that is due to the fact that she isn't signed with Hollywood Records or Walt Disney Records.
The only bone I have to pick on the EP is that in one of the songs, she swears. WHAT?!?!?! Hello!?!?!?! Are you crazy? Emily Osment is a Disney actress and the main people that will buy her EP are those that watch Hannah Montana. The song is "I Hate the Homecoming Queen" and it's a pretty gritty song to begin with but they don't need to put that kind of language in it. Those kids shouldn't be listening to songs that have swear words in them, especially from the people they look up to from Disney Channel. When I buy the EP, I'll see what I can do to edit that.
All the other songs were good though.

Disney Dream Banner #2

A new Disney Dream banner this week! In this week's is Scarlett Johansen, Beyonce, Julie Andrews, David Beckham, and Abigail Breslin. Enjoy!

Suite Life on Deck Review

The supposed "season premier" of Suite Life was on last night with the arrival of the new cast member, Doc Shaw as Marcus Little. He seemed like real natural to the cast and really fit in with everyone. I really liked how in this one, every one of the main cast had a good part. Even Woody, who isn't in the beginning credits, had a nice role in it all. I loved the returns of Harold throughout the episode. It was sad...but mostly funny!
Don't forget, next week, Jordin Sparks stars on Suite Life!

Wizards Review

Wiztober's second new episode of Wizards was on last night and this one was really good too! I liked seeing a little bit more of Harper and Max actually being funny. My favorite costume was probably Theresa's. Cher was so random but so funny. Everybody else was all scary and halloweeny and she was just...Cher.
What I want to know is when they are going to say for real that Harper is moved in with them? She was always with them and even took part in the family meeting! They are going to have to do that soon. But overall, a really funny episode.

Friday I'll Be Over U

I think that I have a new favorite song! I was roaming the web last week when I found out that Allison Iraheta from this year's season of American Idol is releasing her first single this month! It's called "Friday I'll Be Over You". It's probably this song that you're listening to right now on the blog. It's a little Kelly Clarkson-ish but a little more rock. I really really like this song and plan on buying it when it comes out. You can download on October 20th! Let's make it #1!

"Christmas From the Heart"

Don't forget to pick up your copy of David Archuleta's Christmas album this Tueday!

P.S. I'll make a big post for the 100th post later this week!

Wizards Review

Last Friday, Disney Channel had the premier of the 3rd Season of Wizards of Waverly Place. And it was so awesome! I don't think I've ever seen a more entertaining episode of that show!
I really liked the allusion that was made to the real Frankenstein. The way that Justin talked like Dr. Frankenstein and Max talked like his Igor. That was a really nice nod to the original Frankenstein and his monster.
Alex and Harper were in fine tune as well! Alex was her regular conniving self. I loved the Control-Alt-Delete method of getting the monster to shut down. And Harper's fear making her faint then waking up because she was afraid of fainting was perfect!
Don't forget to watch next week for the new Wizards and the new Suite Life!

"Lost at Sea" Review

The hour long episode of "Suite Life on Deck" was on Disney Channel last night and I was really excited for it. When I turned it on, I noticed that it was in widescreen and it looked noticeably different from all other Suite Life episodes. I think this one was shot as a movie...that's the only thing I can think of.
I also think this was meant to be the REAL season premier. It was the beginning of a new school year and everyone had changed. It's cool to know that each season now is a new year on deck. But this year, London is a Senior...does that mean she's not going to be on the show anymore? I don't think they would do that, but you never know. Maybe that's why they are introducing someone new?
Back to "Lost at Sea", I really think that this episode showed the extent that all the cast is at acting. The Sprouse twins are really getting better. Debbie and Brenda are really good too, and the guy that's Woody...well, he is just a minor character =).
The story line was really good and not too drawn out. The whole hot air balloon made of London's cloths was a little much for me, but it was funny.
I really liked this episode and hope that they have more one hour episodes in the near future!

"Kiss & Tell" Review

Selena Gomez's debut album "Kiss & Tell" came out this Tuesday and I went out and bought it! It is so good! I was pleasantly surprised by how different it is from all other Disney/Hollywood Records artists.

All the songs on the album have a unique sense to them. Everyone of the songs seems like they were written specifically for Selena and the kind of person she is. She's said in her Facebook chats that she doesn't like singing slow songs, but I think they were the best ones on the CD. "I Promise You" is really good!

My favorite song in the CD has to be "More". It reminds me of "Got Dynamite" by Demi in that it's a fast song and you don't really expect it. You put on the song and it starts a little slow, then it just EXPLODES! Amazing.....

I think that Hollywood Records is going to put out a Sophomore album of Selena & The Scene next summer and have her tour at the same time, just like Demi.

Suite Life Review

The new episode of Suite Life that was on Friday was a very different one I felt. I know that most of them have a message at the end, but I felt that this one was more prevalent than others. The whole storyline of "Better Life" sucking away from your real life really applies to today. And then London's addiction to her cell phone was really applicable too. But overall, a good episode.
I've decided that I want to start watching "Sonny with a Chance", so prepare to start seeing reviews starting soon!
Tune into Disney Channel this Friday for the one hour Suite Life event, "Lost at Sea"!

TOMORROW!!!!!

Tomorrow is the day! Finally! "Kiss & Tell" is being released tomorrow! We've been waiting so long and now it's finally here!
I listened to the Planet Premiere on Radio Disney on Saturday and it was really good! I was a little scared that Selena wouldn't be able to pull it off, but she sure did!
I think that the songs on the album have a Paramore/Hilary Duff feel to them. The songs are rock but pop, rock like Paramore but Disney pop like Hilary Duff. But very unique and really good!
Make sure that you pick up your copy tomorrow wherever CDs are sold! And please DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT!!!!!

Kiss & Tell Request

Hey everybody! I have a small request to make to everyone excited about Selena's debut album "Kiss & Tell". I've noticed more and more sites putting the CD up for download and everything. These songs have become more and more easy to get since they have been premiering the songs on Radio Disney, but please do not download them! This is illegal! When you download a song or even a whole CD, you're stealing from the artist. Now, do you really want to steal from Selena Gomez? How do you think that would make her feel to know that her fans, the ones that have been with her the whole way, are going behind her back and stealing her hard work from her? This post may seem a little harsh, but that's how it is.
Selena and the Scene are showing their songs on Radio Disney early because they want us to be excited about them and get ready to go buy and support them, not for people to steal from them! It is wrong to download music, so please don't do it.
I plan on going out and buying my CD when it comes out as a loyal and supportive fan, and I hope you will too. Thank you.

Kiss & Tell Video

Hey! I made a video/commercial for "Kiss & Tell". The music is recorded from Selena's last Facebook webcast. It's pretty short but I really like it. Tell me what you think...

Demi/Camp Rock News!

I seriously just had an epiphany and felt the extreme need to blog about it!
So, I found out a couple of days ago that Demi and David are going on tour in the fall! The last three dates of their summer tour were postponed to the very end of October. Why? Because Demi is filming for Camp Rock 2, meaning that they will be done filming by the end of October! How cool is that! I don't know why I didn't piece that together before.

Emily Osment "All the Right Wrongs"

Here is the cover art for Emily Osment's EP, "All the Right Wrongs". Here is the tracklisting:

1. All The Way Up

2. You Are The Only One

3. I Hate The Homecoming Queen

4. Found Out About You

5. Average Girl

6. What About Me

"All the Way Up" is definitely one of those songs that starts to grow on you after a while. The first time I heard it I was like, "Uh...maybe not...", but now it's stuck in my head and I sing along to it every time it comes in Radio Disney. I'm seriously tempted to pay the ridiculous price of $1.29 on iTunes for it. But it comes out on the 27th of October, so I might buy it. I might need to listen to some of the other songs. "I Hate The Homecoming Queen" either sounds like a really fun song or a really powerful ballad. "Found Out About You" is probably a hard core rockin' out kind of sing and "Average Girl" and "You Are the Only One" sound like ballads too.

See you October 27th when it comes out!

Suite Life Review

There was a new episode of Suite Life on last night and I was really exciting about this one because it seemed like we would be getting to know London's family a little bit better. And we did! And it was AWESOME!!!! We got to see London in a different light and even Bailey in her own element. This episode also showed how much time and money Disney Channel spends on the sets of their shows.
And I have officially decided that Zack is evil....officially. This scam was probably worse than when he spent all of Cody's money. What he did to Cody in this episode was horrid! But, I guess in the end it all paid off.
Another great episode! Next week, Zack turns in one of Cody's previous papers and pays the price, then the week after that is "Lost at Sea"!

Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides

This was revealed at D23 on last Friday! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Make it Happen

Here is the cover art that I made for the song that Selena & David sing in the episode of Wizards called "Make it Happen". I watched that episode a few days ago and thought that I should make an album cover for the song. I really liked the song in the episode and wished that they had put it on the Wizards Soundtrack.

Selena & the Scene Webcast

Today was the second webcast that Selena is doing to promote her CD Kiss & Tell, but this time, their was an added bonus. Her band, the Scene, was with her. IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!
I didn't take notes this time, so I'll just tell you about it. It was really cool to see how her band interacts with her and vice versa. You can totally tell that her band has been in the music industry for a long time, and that Selena is having an awesome time working with such awesome people. There were so many cool moments during the webcast, that I can't even begin to name them. One question was "What's the coolest thing you've learned recently?" And Selena answered "That polar bears have clear fur. Since their skin is white, their fur looks white." Who knew?!?
They would answer all there questions with such spirit and pazzazz (haha...fun word) and you could really tell that they are loving what they're doing. They sang too! There was a part where they sang a little bit of a few songs. They sang some of "Kiss & Tell", "I Won't Apologize", and did a full length acoustic performance of "Falling Down"!
They also told us that starting next week, they will premiere a new song everyday on Radio Disney. Then on Saturday they will be premiering the whole album...I'm assuming. They've done that in the past with new CD's so yeah.

Free Songs on iTunes

Every week I like to check iTunes' free song of the week. They have had some really good songs in the past, so you never know what you'll find. Can guess who it was this week? KSM's "Read Between the Lines"! KSM.....FREE! They aren't my favorite but for free...why not? They also tend to have good music videos for free too. A couple of weeks ago Justin Beiber's music video for "One Time" was free, but the reviews were bad, so I opted out.
Katharine McPhee's new song "Say Goodbye" came out this week too. Her album was going to come out next month on the 6th, but it was pushed back all the way to January! So this was a really good song to leave us with until the new year.

Suite Life on Deck Review

I know that Suite Life was almost on a week ago, but I'm still going to review it.
This was another classic Suite Life episode! I found the lack of Moseby to be a little refreshing truthfully. But the parts that he was in were really funny. Zack's bully/girlfriend was hilarious! That actress is so good at being mean then funny then shy then crazy! That just goes to show the extent that Disney Channel goes to to find the right people.
There was something interesting that I would like to note about the episode though. When Zack goes into the Armadillo after Moseby taps him on the shoulder, you see a cast on Zack's arm! HELLO?!? What happened? I'll see what I can dig up =)

Race to Witch Mountain Review

Sorry I haven't been on very much lately. School and everything is getting in full swing. But, last Friday my family Redboxed "Race to Witch Mountain". It came out in the spring and came out on DVD a few weeks ago.
I really liked this movie. I was nice to not have to wait for it to start getting good. There wasn't much character development in the beginning, we just got to know them all as the story unfolded. I loved the relationship of the brother and sister, Seth and Sarah. I really like books and movies that have that kind of a strong brother/sister relationship because it reminds me of my sister and I.
I liked the Disney Star "cameos". "Fly on the Wall" played in the taxi and there was another one but I can't remember it.....but it was good.
I recommend this movie to all ages and all families that want a good adventure flick.

Selena & the Scene Webcast #1

So yesterday I watched Selena's live webcast on Facebook and it was so good! The other ones that I've watched have been good, but I think this was the best one yet. I always say that I'm going to put what she said on here, so I took notes this time so I can share the cool info.

Selena shared some really cool stuff. She said her next webcast will be with her band. She talked about being on "Barney" when she was a kid and said "not many people can say they rocked out with Barney!" She told us that it took her two years to complete her album and she told us the names of the people in her band (the Scene). Evan is on guitar, Joey is on Bass, and Greg plays the drums. She went through her purse and showed us her CD! She held it and showed it to us! It was way cool. She answered some random questions that I'll tell you in bullet points.

  • Likes "Umbrella" by All Time Low (Rihanna Cover....AMAZING song)
  • Favorite Movie: Wizard of Oz
  • Favorite Song on Album: I Won't Apologize
  • Favorite Bible Verse: John 3:15
  • Favorite Song (at the moment): "Love Drunk" (last time with was "Gravity")
  • Currently obsessed with country music
  • Favorite thing to do in spare time: Nothing
  • Loves CNN
  • Favorite Book: Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

My First Cover Art!

So I was asked to make some cover art for the other blog that I am a part of and I came up with these:

Here's one I made for Selena & The Scene.

Here's one for Mitchel Musso's album. I really think that he is overlooked a lot in the music industry. His CD went all the way to #2, right behind Lady Gaga! His music is mature and just really good. I think people have a misconception because he's on Hannah Montana.

This is for "1,000 Mile" for David's Fan Pack. It was one of my favorite songs when Vanessa Carlton sang it but David put his signature on it with his version.

This is my favorite one! "Zero Gravity" is such a good song. It has the lyrics of a ballad but the beat of a dance/club song. It's my favorite David Archuleta song ever!
